Orchestra
The DBC Orchestra is open to both youth and adult instrumentalists who possess a minimum of two years experience on their instrument of choice.
Currently, 28 players strong and complete with full strings and harp,the orchestra rehearses Sundays, 5:15 - 6:00 PM during the school year and accompanies the 11:00 AM Sunday worship service every other week.
In 2005, this group was one of 12 church orchestras nationwide selected to participate in commissioning a new orchestral work each month from the noted composer/arranger Dan Goeller. That standard of looking for and doing only the best literature available continues on today.
In addition to participating in the larger core bi-weekly group, various players accompany the Christmas at Derbyshire presentations, and also serve in small select ensembles and as soloists in Sunday worship services.
